What is MG (Molecular Gastronomy)?
Molecular Gastronomy is using chemistry to prepare foods in unusual ways. There are different types of Molecular Gastronomy. One part of it is Spherification (SfEEr-uu-fu-cAA-shun). Spherification is encapsulating a liquid food inside of a soft gel shell. Using our first video, you can follow the steps we use so you can make your OWN spheres! Molecular Gastronomy is combining physics, chemistry, and biology to prepare food in a peculiar way... WITH YOU! Now, let's have some fun with cooking! And remember... always play with your food! :) |
